9. Make sure everything is sorted back home
You have to remember that life won’t stop back home and if you don’t take precautions you might have a massive headache, especially if you’re traveling for a long time. You should make sure you pay your bills via direct debit and also tell your neighbors you’ll be away.
What if you have pets? The best course of action would be to either take them with you (sometimes not ideal), leave them with friends or relatives, or find house sitters. Many travelers are willing to take care of your house and pets while you’re away – it’s a win-win situation!
