A Summer Bucket List for 2018

Pick your own fruit

If you know that you enjoy summer fruit, the next thing to do is to head to a farm and pick it for yourself. Even if you live in a large city, there will be farms within an hour of you that offer pick-your-own crops like strawberries, blueberries, apples, and peaches. Many farms insist on a minimum number of bushels or quarts per person, but you can always freeze or can your bounty, so you have plenty left over for the winter.

Each state has a listing of farms that offer pick-your-own produce, but make sure to check with the farm before you go, so you don’t risk showing up to a farm with fields that are completely picked over.
