Roman Way – Cotswolds
Roman influence in England is getting harder to spot, as the old Roman ruins and architectural features are slowly falling into disrepair. One of the best places to see Roman architecture and infrastructure is in the Cotswolds, a bucolic area that covers a large part of south central England.
The Roman Way walk is 11.5 miles long, winding its way through tons of interesting monuments, including the Roman amphitheatre just outside of Cirencester. The path itself is a product of Roman ingenuity and marks a major Roman road that ran from what is now St. Albans to Cirencester.
