At the end of the day, a journey is your chance to try things you wouldn’t otherwise do at home. Some can be interesting, like eating crickets or durian, and others more daring, like bungee jumping or kayaking down a raging river. Some people even forget all the rules and let themselves fall in love deeply, not worrying if they’re going to have their hearts broken.
The point is that you change your mindset, you say “yes” a lot more times than “no.” Back home, nothing seems too impossible. You might apply for a hard-to-get job, dance in a silly way in front of people, or even ask that person out to see what happens.
