How to Start Traveling, Even When You’re Broke

5. Create a Money-Saving Plan
The fact that you’re broke now doesn’t mean that you’ll be broke in a few months. If you take the time to create a strategy to save money, before you know it, you’ll have enough to go on a short trip.
The best course of action is to treat your savings like a necessary utility bill. As soon as you get paid, take 10 percent (or more), put it in a savings account and don’t touch it. If you wait until the end of the month to save what’s left, you won’t save anything!
