12. Avoid Dangerous Routes
Everywhere in the world, there are roads or crossings that are notoriously dangerous. If you can avoid a road that’s famous for accidents, rockfalls, or floods, there’s no point in putting yourself in a risky situation just for the thrill.
Likewise, border crossings, like the one going from Thailand to Cambodia, are peppered with people trying to scam you. Sometimes, it’s better to spend a little bit more money and just fly out instead of having a headache.
