Some of you may consider this bribery, (probably because it is bribery) but I wasn’t above using this carrot-on-a-stick system to up my chances of good behavior when I really needed it. You’re going to bring along a few little toys anyway, so why not buy a couple of new ones the kids have been asking for? Keep the toy nearby and show them now and then to remind them that they can have this very soon, but they have to listen to Mom or Dad.
