10 Must-See Harry Potter Sights

4. Oxford

Oxford was a big filming location for the Harry Potter movies. This quickly becomes apparent when you’re in the city, given the number of Harry Potter walking tours and random merchandize available.

Bodleian Library, which was seen a few times in The Philosopher’s Stone, is a big attraction, and also my favorite one because I am a library nerd. You will have to book a tour for this, as they do not let people just wander around. The Bodleian Library is very beautiful and intriguing in its own right, and deserves a good hour or two for the tour and some wandering.

Normally there is a free exhibition on off the main courtyard, which can be about anything from WWI to Dickens, and occasionally contains original art, letters, or excerpts from Tolkien or Lewis (for you fans of wider fantasy). Do take a glance at that in passing.

Do you wish all the Oxford Harry Potter sights were in an easily printable guide? Well, you’re in luck because Google gave me this Harry Potter Trails handout. Thanks, Google!
