5. Yemen
Beginning in 2015 and finding its origins in the country’s conflict with neighboring Saudi Arabia, the Yemeni Civil War has claimed roughly 11,000 lives in only two years. As recently as May of 2015, a truce was achieved, however it only lasted a scant five days. The conflict is being waged between those loyal to the former president of Yemen, Ali Abdullah Saleh, and those who are loyal to the current government based in the city of Aden.
