Underwater crop circles
Unlike regular crop circles, we know what causes these underwater patterns and the answer is somehow more incredible than “aliens.” Underwater crop circles were first discovered off the coast of Japan in 1995 and were soon found to be the work of male puffer fish. The fish would swim back and forth across the bottom of the ocean for up to 9 days to create the 7-foot diameter pattern intended to lure in a prospective mate to the nest in the center. If the circle manages to impress a female fish, she will lay her eggs in the middle of the circle.
