Wicked
Wicked is a long-running Broadway and West End musical that was originally based on a book by Gregory Maguire, which tells the familiar story of The Wizard of Oz from the perspective of the young woman who later became the “Wicked” Witch of the West. The musical focuses on the friendship between Elphaba, the aforementioned witch, and Glinda, later hailed as the “good” witch.
The original Broadway production starred Idina Menzel and Kristen Chenoweth as the two witches. In addition to the Broadway and West End productions currently running, there are two tours crisscrossing the United Kingdom and North America.
