Bike Heaven: Top Bicycle Friendly Cities in the World
| September 25, 2017
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Rio de Janeiro started building their bike lanes in 1992, and since then a large cycling population has blossomed, as well as a thriving bike-sharing program which boasts over 600 bicycles available for rent. This bike-sharing program only costs about $2.50 USD per month, which makes it very accessible for tourists who are only in the city for a short amount of time and want to try it out.
It makes a beach trip a cinch – you can bike there and enjoy some time riding along the boardwalk bike paths before cooling off in the water.
