10. Tire sur la neige
Tire sur la neige is a colloquial name used to describe a specific type of maple taffy that is regularly enjoyed in Quebec. Maple syrup is boiled until it thickens, then the hot syrup is poured in a line over a dish of clean snow. As it cools, the chef will roll the taffy around a popsicle stick or spoon, then hand it off to be enjoyed.
But be careful! The colder it is outside, the faster the taffy will harden, and it has been known to break teeth.
