13. Caesar
Although now it’s served all over Canada, the Caesar originated in the prairie town of Calgary, Alberta in 1969. Invented to celebrate a restaurant opening, the drink contains vodka mixed with tomato and clam juice, spiked with Worcestershire sauce, pepper, hot sauce, and lime.
Originally, it was served garnished with a lime wedge and a stalk of celery, but now, people are inventing Caesars that are less drink and more full meal – garnished with things like burgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, and bacon.
