3. Gazebo and Church – The Sound of Music
The Sound of Music, the film that made us all fall in love with Julie Andrews, was primarily shot in Salzburg, Austria. Many interior shots were filmed at sound studios in Hollywood, but the vast majority of the external shots and on-location scenes were filmed in this picturesque Austrian town.
If you’re a fan, you should definitely stop by the grounds of Schloss Hellbrunn to see the gazebo from “Sixteen Going on Seventeen,” and visit St. Michael’s Church in nearby Wredeplatz, where Maria was married.
