Mini Guide to South Africa
Main Cities and Towns
Durban
Home to nearly 3.5 million people, Durban is the third largest city in South Africa. It’s also a popular holiday destination for South Africans. One of the highlights is Golden Mile beach, which offers excellent surfing with the occasional (and unfortunate) shark attack. Visitors can also go to Crocodile Creek, a nearby farm with 7,000 reptiles (alligators, crocodiles), or enjoy the aquarium at uShaka Marine World.

Stellenbosch
Stellenbosch is the ideal destination for those looking for an incredible wine experience at the nearby wineries. The town is the second oldest in the country, where visitors can enjoy historical Cape Dutch architecture. It’s also home to one of the oldest universities in South Africa, and due to its high number of students, it’s a wonderful place for a wild night out.
