Minimal Space, Maximum Comfort: The Best Smallest Hotels in the World
6. Woodpecker Hotel
Anyone have a treehouse while growing up? The Woodpecker Hotel will surely bring back some incredible memories during your stay.
Located in a park within Stockholm, Sweden, the hotel was created with a goal to offer travelers an escape from crowded and loud hotels. Guest are required to climb up a ladder made of rope, which happens to be 13 meters up a 130-year-old oak tree. The one-room treehouse hotel offers an IKEA bed (with duvet), small cooking facilities, a heater, some books within a micro-library, as well as a toilet – which might be needed for those middle-of-the-night washroom needs.
It’s important to note, this hotel is only open from April to early September and nightly rates are set at approximately 1100 Swedish Krona.
