Most Interesting Tiny Island Vacations

Isle of Skye – Scotland

The Isle of Skye is the largest island of the Inner Hebrides, a collection of islands located off Scotland’s west coast. About 9,000 people reside there, and of that amount, over 1/3rd are fluent Gaelic speakers.

The island’s largest city is Portree, which is home to the port as well as most of the hotels. The rest of the island is covered in moorland and rocks, which makes it a great place for activities like hiking and mountain biking. To get there, you’ll either have to take a ferry from mainland Lochalsh or drive over the Skye Bridge in a car.
