When you think about Brazil, what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Many people will say the Amazon rainforest, the amazing beaches, or maybe Carnival. But what about Brazilians? Unless you spend a considerable amount of time exploring the country, you might assume they’re just a warm and welcoming bunch.
Indeed, they are! But, the nuances of their culture go a lot further than that. So, if you’d like to have a greater insight into Brazilians’ peculiar habits and social fabric, fasten your seatbelt and enjoy the ride.
1. They Take Lots of Showers
Before you think excessive showering is insane, you have to remember it’s not uncommon for temperatures in Brazil to reach over 104⁰F throughout the summer. If you don’t have powerful air conditioning, you’ll be sweating from the time you wake up until the time you get back home.
With that in mind, it’s not unreasonable to have a shower as soon as you get up and another one before you go to sleep. If you’re not working and it’s unusually hot, you might as well take another shower during lunch time, too, just to cool down a bit!
