2. Going Topless Is Frowned Upon
It’s sometimes confusing for female tourists to hear that being topless is not entirely welcome on Brazilian beaches, given the fact that women show a lot of their bodies during Carnival. It’s not strictly illegal, but if you’re making other people uncomfortable, you might be asked to cover up by a police officer.
If you’d like to take your top off, just make sure you go to a quiet area or to a proper nude beach. It’s also important to note that sunbathing in underwear is totally not cool, even if it covers the body more than a skimpy bikini – so please don’t do it!
