15 Places That Still Practice Ritual Killings

Singapore

The 1981 Toa Payoh ritual murder case is considered one of the most gruesome crimes in Singapore’s history. Conman and self-proclaimed “medium” Adrian Lim along with his two “holy wives” were found guilty of murdering a nine-year-old girl and a ten-year-old boy in the town of Toa Payoh.

Lim, who was already under investigation for a pending rape charge, claimed to have killed the children not only to distract the police from the rape investigation, but also to offer the children as a sacrifice to the goddess Kali in hopes that she would help him escape his legal troubles. The three killers were hanged in 1988 and remain infamous in Singapore to this day.
