I was warned by many people that Latin America is awful for vegetarians. This is totally not the case in Mexico City.

I’ve been able to find a vegetarian option at EVERY restaurant I visited. In fact, vegetarian restaurants and vegetarian menus have been way more common than I ever expected. I haven’t had to miss out on trying any Mexican food, as it has been so simple to find an awesome restaurant doing a stellar vegetarian version of any dish.

If I tire of eating out, a whole host of vegetarian and vegan grocery stores, like Mr. Tofu and Vegan Label, offer a variety of meat and cheese substitutes, and they even deliver right to my house!
