It is cheap!
Food especially comes at bargain bin prices. Dining at a street food stall ensures a complete meal for a few dollars. A more upscale restaurant is obviously pricier, but even with several courses and a bottle of wine, it has never rung in anywhere near $100.
My weekly grocery bill is half of what it was in Rio de Janeiro, or even Bangkok, and I get the added bonus of having it delivered to my door for the equivalent of $2, so I save tons of time as well as money.
