3. Bank Card Issues
Successful use of any kind of a bank card is never a sure thing when traveling – even if you call your bank in advance. Bank machines, especially the smaller ‘no-name’ kind will often reject foreign cards, and may even suck them into their dark core of nothingness if you press the wrong buttons too many times.
Super seasoned travelers will often order a replacement credit card to carry with them that can be activated in the event that anything goes wrong. Make sure to store it somewhere other than your wallet though (refer to point 2).
