Lorne Sausage
Another common addition to the traditional Scottish breakfast spread is lorne sausage – a type of sausage that comes in square patties and is made with pork and beef. The mix of spices that flavor the meat is specific to this type of sausage, and the final product is mixed with a bit of dry bread to hold it all together.
Sandwiches made of lorne sausage (with a bit of butter) are a common snack food in Scotland, and can be found all around the country.
