Over Packing

Don’t be tempted to try and pack your entire wardrobe into your suitcase. Chances are, most of the clothes you pack you won’t even wear, and others you may only wear once. Before you travel, make a list of places you will visit and activities you have planned, and then pack accordingly.

Key things not to bring include: excess jewelry and valuables, more than one jacket, bulky clothing items (e.g. multiple pairs of jeans or more than one bulky sweater), impractical shoes, and hiking boots (unless you are planning a multiday hiking excursion, a good pair of running shoes will serve you just as well).
