Not Documenting Prior Rental Car Damage
Don’t get caught paying for damage on your rental car that you didn’t cause. Make sure that you take pictures of any prior existing damage, both outside and inside, with a time/date stamp on the picture before you leave the rental agency, and ideally receive written acknowledgement of any prior damage. When it comes to returning the car, if at all possible, return the car during office hours, and receive a written record that you returned the car without any damage.
