Myth or Truth: The Scariest Mythical Creatures from Around the World
| October 29, 2018
Bunyip
Sounds like a cute little character from Pokémon, but the truth is, Bunyip is nothing of the sorts. There are those who believe that this creature roams large swamps and other regions of Australia and is something you definitely do not want to run into.
Bunyip is a large animal that has a crocodile-like head, large tusks, flippers, a horse-tail, and a face that looks like a dog. The creature’s name stems from the world “devil.” While reports surfaced on this creature in the 1800s, the Aussie locals and the Aboriginals still believe in Bunyip’s existence to this very day.
