Essential Barcelona for a Quick Trip
Nightlife
Full disclaimer: I am the Mr. Darcy of the party. I don’t do The Scene. But my friend had made our accommodation arrangements, which is how little ol’ introvert Me spent her a night at Sant Jordi’s “Party Hostel.”
If you’re planning to go out, staying at a hostel like this is a great idea. They organize group tours that sample the different famous clubs, so you have a guide through the chaos. This hostel also had the best community of any I’ve ever visited. Two Brazilian friends made a traditional dinner for everyone, and there were at least five different nations represented when we all sat down to eat.
I’m told that Barcelona is fabulous for its nightlife. In fact, when I explained to a sweet German girl that I would not be going out, she stared at me in shock and replied, “But why did you come to Barcelona if not to go clubbing?”
So there you go! Clubbing is an essential activity. But maybe bring a friend.
