Gäubodenvolksfest in Straubing
Gäubodenvolksfest began as an agricultural fair for the Danube region in 1812. Today the festival is a traditional Bavarian folk festival with rides, parades, fireworks, and plenty of traditional food. Of course beer is a main event with six beer tents pouring regional favorites. The festival kicks off with a bierprobe (tasting of the beer) in true German fashion.
