A good way to reduce your footprint abroad is to be mindful of the distance your food has to travel before reaching your plate by eating local. Of course, local is relative to wherever you happen to be. By eating at restaurants that source their ingredients locally while you’re away, you get to try new foods that you may not get at home, support the economy, and reduce your environmental impact on the world all at once.
