The same way you meet your friends back home for a football or basketball match, you can do the same abroad! There are sport aficionados everywhere and it just takes a Google search to find where they meet and play.

I’m Brazilian and oddly enough look like David Luiz. That alone had me invited to countless football matches — to everybody’s disappointment as unfortunately I can’t play well! Still, the camaraderie of meeting every Sunday to play and the beer and laughter afterwards was worth it every time.

There you have it, a few ideas of boosting your experience when traveling to a new country. I intentionally didn’t add anything work-related as I’m mainly talking about travel, but, if you’re staying long-term in a place, the list of jobs are endless and they can also be super rewarding.
