Rio has some amazing hikes within its borders, and the largest urban forest in the world. Take advantage of the natural treasure (and of beautiful Rio views) by taking a hike.
My favorite option (and the easiest to reach) is found by following Copacabana (away from Arpoador), all the way to where the beach ends in Leme. There, you will find Morro do Leme, and an excellent, easy, and safe hike.
The hike ends at the old fort, and you will be rewarded with stunning views of the city, in addition to the companionship of many little monkeys!
