Laminated menus
I never want to see laminated menus. Why? Because that means the selections don’t change and nothing is seasonal or fresh. This may sound counterintuitive in the United States where we don’t eat the season, we eat whatever the big food companies fill with food coloring to make look fresh. The rest of the world, however, excels at supporting local farms by eating what’s on hand each season. Printed, or chalkboard menus, are preferred as they change daily, weekly, or seasonally. All of which are better than never.
