How to Acclimatize to a New City
| July 24, 2017
9. Find an occupation
If you haven’t moved for a new job, the best thing to do when you first arrive in a new city is to start looking for work. How else will you pay your rent?
There are plenty of specialized job sites where you can start your search, as well as classifieds in places like Craigslist or the local newspaper. Don’t be afraid to walk into a store or business, and chat up the staff to see if they have any openings. Keep some resumes, or a business card, on you at all time, so that you’re prepared if someone asks for your contact information.
