7 Tips on How to Eat Where the Locals Eat
| October 27, 2015
It’s Okay to Eat Street Food
Street food is some of the most authentic local food you’ll find. You’re doing yourself an injustice if you skip it because you’re afraid of getting sick. I promise you won’t die as long as you use a little common sense. If it looks dirty, avoid it. If the food has been sitting out for hours, keep walking. If nobody else is gathered around the stand or food truck, that’s probably a good indication you should stay away as well. Look for crowds. Most of those are living repeat customers. I still salivate when I think about a particular taco stand I found in Todos Santos, Mexico.
