4. Understand Poverty Is Everywhere
It’s important to remember that India is a developing country and, although it’s definitely moving forward, extreme poverty is still very much present. If you live in a developed country and this is your first trip to India, understand what you’re getting yourself into.
Actually, you should take it one step further and visit one of the massive slums to see the life there. It can be upsetting, but at the same time, these are the experiences that expand your perspective and make travel so rewarding. You’ll quickly stop complaining about slow Wi-Fi when you know how people live below the poverty line.
