How to Survive a Trip to India

7. Do Not Drive
To be fair, most car rental companies won’t let you rent a car anyway, especially if you intend to travel between cities. The cars usually come with a friendly driver who’ll do all the hard work as you talk to your friends and family.
However, if you’re adamant you must drive, you should first hire a car with a driver for a day just to check how it is. The experience should be enough to change your opinion as driving through cows, camels, bikes, scooter, tuk-tuks, and cars blaring their horns is a stressful undertaking.
