How to Survive a Trip to India

5. Super-Hot Food Everywhere
A little warning for those who don’t like spicy food: there’ll be some mild suffering. Indians like their food hot, volcanic-lava hot, and you just need to eat out once to understand how it really is. Some people will be comfortable with it, others will just have to accept the teary eyes and instant sweating.
The first thing you should do in a restaurant is ask for non-spicy food. Bear in mind that it doesn’t mean the food won’t be hot at all, just less hot! You’ll only forget to ask once or twice.
