10. Get your story straight
Again, we’re not advocating that you lie to border agents. It’s just a good idea to coordinate your message with the members of your party before crossing the border. You may also want to explain to young children that they may be asked questions by border agents and that they should answer honestly. Many guards are trained to try and poke holes in your story by asking rapid-fire questions about the relevant details of your trip.
