Coolest Places to Travel This Summer
| July 23, 2018
New Zealand
While we’re used to sunny warm days during our summer months, on the other side of the world in New Zealand, our summer is their winter, which brings with it temperatures that range from 35-60°F and plenty of snow. New Zealand is long and narrow, so it’s possible to experience a whole range of temperatures as you drive from one end to the other.
If you’re looking for some excellent skiing, head to Central Otago, Queenstown, or Wanaka, then escape to Auckland at the top of the North Island for milder temperatures. If you want to hike Rangitoto’s volcanic trails, this is the perfect time of year to do it since most tourists have long since left the country for the season.
