This list couldn’t possibly be complete without the Old Course. Considered by many to be the home of golf, St. Andrews Old Course earns its name by not just being the oldest course in Scotland, but also the world. It’s here that the game became what it is today.
If that isn’t enough of a reason for you to make the trip, it also is a beauty, and features many of golf’s most famous landmarks, such as the Swilcan bridge. If you want to experience golf the way it was played hundreds of years ago at the time of its inception, there is no better option than St. Andrews.
