14. Pointing your soles – Laos
Again, this is not something that happens only in Laos, but most of Asia. In the same way you should leave your shoes outside houses and temples, you should never point your soles at someone.
Say, for instance, you’re sitting down with your legs crossed, just be careful that your sole is not pointing at anyone. The same applies for walking over someone – don’t do it! You should walk around the person instead.
