Tipping is always an interesting subject. In places like America, you pretty much tip everyone for everything. In most countries, however, tips are included in the bill or just not expected. In Japan, it can be considered rude to tip someone.
Japan is renowned for its incredible customer service, so great service is the standard and you shouldn’t “pay extra” for anything. However, if you really feel someone deserves a bit more, you should give the tip inside an envelope or offer to buy them a coffee or tea.
