James Joyce
During his self-imposed exile to Zurich, Switzerland, Irish writer James Joyce passed away in 1941 and was interred in Fluntern Cemetery. His wife was unsuccessful in trying to have his body moved back to Ireland, and she and their son rest alongside him, with a statue of the poet nearby.
