Necker Island
Sir Richard Branson liked this British Virgin Isle so much, he bought it! Now a playland for billionaires, Necker Island can accommodate a whopping 28 guests at a time, so invites aren’t exactly easy to come by. Those who do make the list get to stay in an extravagant Balinese-style villa where each of the ten rooms has a complete 360-degree view of the stunning surroundings.
Decked out with private beaches, pools, tennis courts and a staff of 60, Necker Island has attracted a number of stars over the years including Princess Diana of Wales, Eddie Murphy and Robert De Niro. If you can’t afford the $60,000 a night price tag, try making friends with Kate Winslet. She probably got a lifetime invite to the island when she carried Sir Richard’s 90-year-old mother out of a burning house after a fire broke out there in 2011.
