5.The royalty within the Amalienborg Palace.
For the next stop, the traveler decided to give a strong royal touch to this journey. And that’s how the Amalienborg Palace was perfectly added into this fairytale picture. Oh, and as a matter of fact, the royalty felt in the air of Copenhagen might (just might) be based on the fact that Denmark is led by the oldest European monarchy. Dress code: wear your crown!
The place is a rococo architectural ensemble (considered the finest Danish rococo example) which is made up of no more and no less than four identical buildings. It’s also the Amalienborg Royal Family’s winter residence and it was built in the mid-18th century.
At 12 o’clock PM, our traveler watched the guard changing ceremony, which takes place every day, at the same hour, right in front of the mighty palace. Call it a date. A punctual one!
