With very few exceptions, a “volunteer vacation” is every bit as expensive as a traditional one. You’ll be expected to pay your travel and living costs while you’re there, as well as giving freely of your time and skills — but you won’t regret it. Though you’ll likely work harder on your vacation than you do in your daily life, you’ll return feeling more content than you will coming home from an all inclusive beach getaway.
