5 Reasons to Visit Colonial Williamsburg
| February 29, 2016
5. Food
Williamsburg is home to several gourmet restaurants, catering to a variety of tastes and budgets.
One of my favorites has always been the Cheese Shoppe. As you might suppose, they have a lot of cheese there. Partaking of a cheese platter and a glass of wine while people-watching in Merchants’ Square is one of my favorite pastimes in Williamsburg.
Aromas is a local coffee shop a little off the main drag, with excellent drinks and some killer bacon mac and cheese. There’s also a plethora of taverns to choose from in the colonial quarter.
Further into modern Williamsburg, you’ll find options from all over the globe. If you want a certain type of food, you can probably find it–and chances are good that it will be amazing.
