Singapore Changi Airport is a major hub in Southeast Asia, and has been rated the best airport of 2017. You can see the huge air traffic control tower for miles around – it towers over the massive Crowne Plaza Hotel which adjoins the airport itself. It was officially opened in 1981, and has amazingly hung onto its title as the top airport in the world for the last 36 years.
Officials make it a priority to continually update their infrastructure whenever it becomes outdated. They have a themed garden with a koi pond which is updated often, and entry is free of charge to all passengers passing through.
